Ontario's latest EE PNP policy and details

Ontario has announced the province's two new EE provincial nominee immigration programs (Ontario Express Entry).

First, the Ontario EE Provincial Nominee Program is divided into two categories. They are: Human Capital Priorities Stream (HCPS) and French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream (FSSWS). As with other EE programs, eligible applicants have the opportunity to be nominated by Ontario and receive 600 additional points in the federal EE system to obtain an invitation to immigrate and obtain a permanent residence visa.

The application requirements for the HumanCapital Priorities Stream (HPC Stream) are as follows.

1 Work experience, the applicant must meet the minimum work experience requirements for Federal Skilled Worker or Canadian Experience Class (FSWP: at least 1 year in the past 5 years; CEC: at least 1 year in the past 3 years);

2 Educational background, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher;

3 Language requirements, applicants must have attained a language proficiency of CLB7 or above, usually IELTS 4 out of 6;

4 EE score, the applicant must have a minimum of 400 points in the CRS system;

5 Settlement funds, like federal skilled immigrants, Ontario EE, also has settlement funds requirements, which are the same as the FSWP requirements, approximately $18,000 for a family of three;

6 Intent to settle, the applicant must intend to settle in Ontario;

7 If applying through the Federal Skilled Worker category, the applicant must meet the Federal Skilled Worker score of 67 points.

The requirements for the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream (FSSW) are as follows.

1 Work experience, the applicant must meet the minimum work experience requirements for Federal Skilled Worker or Canadian Experience Class (FSWP: at least 1 year in the past 5 years; CEC: at least 1 year in the past 3 years);

2 Educational background, applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher;

3 Language requirements, the applicant must have at least CLB7 in French and CLB6 in English;

4 Settlement funds, like federal skilled immigrants, Ontario EE, also has settlement funds requirements, and the FSWP requirements are the same, about $18,000 for a family of three;

5 Intent to settle, the applicant must intend to settle in Ontario;

6 If applying through the Federal Skilled Worker category, the applicant must meet the Federal Skilled Worker score of 67 points.

According to Oppurtunities Ontario: Porvincial Nominee Program 's official site, this year Ontario will issue 5200 nominations. EE PNP program will issue 2700 nominations. This means candidate with EE score over 400 are not guaranteed to be select

2. Intention to settle.

It is directly related to whether the candidate has a permanent job, residence in Ontario, whether he/she has relatives and how deeply connected he/she is to Ontario (Ties to Ontario).

 3. Educational background.

Both Canadian and international qualifications are recognized. Applicants with non-Canadian qualifications need to have their qualifications certified.
