Notes for Refugee Applications

Note for Refugee Applicants from China, whether you are a Convention Refugee or a Person in need of protection, please note: Time is of the essence!

Canada is a society governed by the rule of law, and there are many things that can cause you unnecessary problems if you exceed the time limit.

Application stage:

1. If you file a refugee application at the border, please send the application to RPD within 15 days.

2. You can apply for a work visa

3. Within 60 days after the first refugee application is processed at the RPD

4. If you want to amend your documents and submit new evidence, you must submit it 10 days before the first hearing.

After rejection:

1. If you are denied, you can appeal to RAD

2. If you want to appeal, you must do so within 15 days of the denial.

3. Generally, you will be notified of the result within 90 days after the appeal.

4. After a refugee is rejected, you can apply for PRRA risk assessment for 1 year, and if you have the conditions, you can apply for H&C humane immigration at the same time.

5. You must submit your application within 15 days after you get the PRRA.

All these time periods are overdue automatically think you give up! So please be careful!
