Basic information about the client:
Documents show that the client has lived/stayed in 2 countries in Europe, one of which has 7 years of residency; documents in China show a criminal record and was requested by the Canadian government to hold a joint investigation of 5 countries
The person came to Canada from a European country at the end of March with a passport from an Asian country - the person tore up the passport on the plane and was arrested by CBSA when he got off the plane.
The first and second hearings in early April were not released
The second court session in early May was also not released
On May 15, the client and his family/friends contacted us and we took over the case after studying the case.
On May 24th, we received a letter from the Ministry of Immigration and Refugees requesting a joint investigation from 5 countries to check the identity of the client.
In early June we contacted the prosecution to request an earlier hearing.
On June 6, the hearing was cancelled due to technical reasons on the CBSA side.
On June 8, the hearing was held and the client was released from court!
